After reading on the WD community I’m seeing a lot that people only have been able to save their content with Linux. Thus, if you want to use EFI drivers, rEFInd's ability to do so can be useful. REFInd's ISO-9665 driver provides this support.
Or if you have a desktop computer that has an SATA port, connect the hard drive to the desktop computer’s SATA cable/power cable. Windows does not have the appropriate drivers to read Linux drives. I cannot guarantee that the installer will boot at this point, but it might.

One can create a Linux boot disc and boot their computer from any one of the many Linux Live CD distro’s. Some of these media, though, are useless for installing to EFI systems from USB flash drives unless your computer supports ISO-9665 on non-optical media. To use such a hybrid image from USB flash drive, you must boot using rEFInd on another disk that has the ISO-9665 driver installed.
REFInd should then provide an option to boot from the USB flash drive. This page is part of the documentation for the rEFInd boot manager. Might be a little daunting if you have never opened your computer though.
